Editorial Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
Save Point Daily is an independent games journal. This policy explains how we work, what we will and will not do, and how to hold us to it.
Independence
No one pays for coverage on Save Point Daily. We accept no sponsored articles, no paid placement and no payment in exchange for a review, a score or a mention. Advertisers — we carry none — would have no say in what we publish.
Review copies and invitations
Publishers sometimes provide review copies of games, hardware or event access. We disclose this in the article it relates to. A free copy never buys a favourable verdict, and we say so plainly when a game provided for review disappoints us.
Facts first
A claim is reported as fact only when it traces back to an official announcement or a named, verifiable source. Unconfirmed reports are labelled as unconfirmed, with the source of the report named. Rumours are not news, and we do not present them as such. Scores and sales figures we cite belong to the publications or companies that reported them, and we name them.
Reviews
Our reviewers play the game before writing about it. We do not assign scores of our own; where a review cites a score, it is the score of the publication named, given for context. Our own judgements are written in words, and a reader should be able to disagree with them — that is the point.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it openly. The article is updated, the change is noted on the article with the date, and significant corrections are noted at the top of the piece. To report an error, email hello@savepointdaily.com with “Correction” in the subject line.
AI and authorship
Every article on this site is written by a person. We do not publish machine-generated articles, and we do not present generated text as a staff writer's work.
Privacy
We set no cookies, run no analytics and embed no third-party trackers. Our full privacy policy is published on this site.
