About Save Point Daily
Save Point Daily is a small, independent games journal founded in 2026 and published from Singapore. We write about the games and hardware we actually play: handheld PCs, PC classics that refuse to die, indie releases made by teams you can count on one hand, and the player communities that keep old worlds alive long after the industry moves on.
We are deliberately unhurried. No rumour mills, no embargo-day score races, no twenty articles carved from one press release. A few considered pieces a week, written by people who finished the game first.
Our mission
To cover games the way a good save system works: carefully, completely, and with respect for the time players invest. We would rather publish three pieces we stand behind than thirty we do not, and we would rather be second with the facts than first with a guess.
The team
Alex Chen — Editor. Covers hardware and industry. Owns more handhelds than shelves.
Maya Lin — Staff writer. Guides, retrospectives and a long-running crusade for the perfect sub-$20 sale pick.
Daniel Wu — Contributing writer. Writes about online games and the people who never left them.
How we work
Every article on this site is written by a person, about a game they played, for readers who play games. We do not publish rumours as news: a claim is only reported as fact when it traces back to an official announcement or a named, verifiable source, and unconfirmed reports are labelled as such. Review scores we cite belong to the publications that gave them; we do not invent scores of our own.
We accept no payment for coverage. Review copies and event invitations are disclosed in the article they relate to, and they never buy a verdict. Our full editorial policy, including our corrections policy, is published on this site.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it openly and note the change on the article, with the date. To report an error, email hello@savepointdaily.com with “Correction” in the subject line.
